We offer a wide range of pharmacy services including:

Dispensing

We offer both Community Drug Scheme dispensing and private prescription dispensing. One of our pharmacists is always on duty during opening hours to supervise dispensing of prescriptions and to offer help and advice when required. We carry a comprehensive range of medicines at all times. In addition, we are able to supply unlicensed medicines (ULMs) medicines from other countries provided they have been prescribed by a consultant physician. Our computer systems are state-of-the-art and are being updated continously, this is useful to ensure safety when dispensing and selling medicines.

Please note: Unless otherwise requested all tablets and capsules are dispensed in "child resistant containers". We use the "clik lock" containers as these are the most effective on the market. However, this does not mean they are "child proof" - nothing is. So for the safety of your children - Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

Order your Prescription

We offer a full repeat dispensing service. We can provide you with pre-paid reply envelopes, so that your repeat prescriptions are returned to Weedle Pharmacy for dispensing and delivery, if necessary.

Repeat dispensing is also available for those on stable repeat medication. Your doctor will provide you with your initial prescription and either indicate the number of repeats, or for how long, or will give you extra copies for future supply (for up to six month's duration). Hnd in the initial precription (and, if you want us to look after them, the future supply copies too) and we will then dispense (and deliver, if you wish) your medication for you each month.

Alternatively, please fill out all the field in the Contact us section to order your repeat prescription. Please note that we must have your original prescription on our files so that we can prepare your prescription accurately. We will endevour to have your prescription ready for you to collect when it suits you. We ask you to giveus as much notice as possible and we will do our bestr to ensure it is ready for collection.

Cutting the cost of Medicines

Weedle Pharmacy are committed to giving you a quality service and value for money. Hwever, many people are paying too much for their medicines as they seem to be unaware of their entitlement to the various State schemes available which help to reduce the financial burden on them. We have put together a comprehensive guide Are your Medicines costing you too much? to ensure you are getting the best value.

Many medicines that are available on prescription have a generic equivalent that can cost significantly less. Ask one of our pharmacists if there is a generic alternative for your medicine. See the section Generic Medicines for more details.

Also, many OTC medicines are allowed on the Medical card and Drug Payment Scheme. If your doctor precribes them then they wil be covered on these schemes.

Medicines Usage Reviews

Our pharmacy team are experts in ensuring that your medication and dosing is suitable for you. If your experiencing any problems or would like more information on the usage and potential side effects or interactions of your medicines come and speak to one of our pharmacists. A medicines usage review is an opportunity for you to talk to one of our pharmacists about your medicines.

Compliance aids using the revolutionary Biodose system. In order to provide help to patients in the community who ae experiencing difficulties in managing their medication, we have developed a medicines managment centre using the award winning Biodose system. The Biodose system provides medicines in time-specific medicines pots, ensuring that the patient takes the right medicines at the right time.

Computerised Patient Records and Robotic dispensing.

Emergency Supply. Under certain circumstances we are able to make an emergency supply of a prescription only medicine.

First-Aid Supplies. First aid kits to satisfy Health & Safety requirements are available. We can also supply kits to your specification.

Free delivery to the Elderly and Housebound patients. We offer a delivery service and are happy yo organise deliveries of ispensed prescriptions for housebound patients. This service is provided free of charge provided you live within the Mallow area.

Free professional pharmacist advice.

Hosiery fitting. We have a full range of support hosiery available along with graduated compression stockings. We have a private fitting room available.

Incontinence and Ostomy Supply. We are a wide range of stoma equipment and incontinence pads.

Medicines disposal. Unused medicines should be returned to Weedle Pharmacy for safe destruction. Please do not hoard medicines - it can prove fatal!
